Drooling Dog Bar BQ is located on I~80, between Sacramento and Reno at the Colfax/Grass Valley Exit (135). We are "above the fog and below the snow" as the locals like to say. If you are traveling on 80 to Lake Tahoe or Reno, we make the perfect stop if you are a barbecue lover. You can call ahead for food to go, or stop in for a bite.
We have an enclosed cooled and heated patio seating area so you can dine in comfort.
With over 80 specialty sodas plus California Microbrews and wines, you will find the perfect Bar BQ experience at our "Joint".

WE thought it was time for more breakfast options on the I~80. We've taken our BBQ meats and made breakfast burritos and bowls. Perfect for on the run. Locally Grown Organic Eggs cooked to order (on your way up the hill, or down), give us a call and we'll have it ready. Open Saturday and Sunday at 7am. We can also will do your lunches to go...

How to get to Our Joint

Headed East toward Reno? Take the Colfax/Grass Valley Exit #135 off I~80, and turn left onto the frontage road. We are right there

Headed West, toward Sacramento and San Francisco? Take the Colfax Exit #135 off I~80, turn right, then right again at the stop sign. Go over the freeway, and left on Canyon Way. Go past the bus stop and Valero Gas station. We are on the frontage road just past the entrance to East bound 80.
